Today, the international conference on Girls' Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities commenced in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

This initiative, led by the Muslim World League (MWL), aims to promote Islamic awareness and implement programs that align with its foundational goals.

The event is held under the patronage and in the presence of Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, along with members of his government and several parliamentarians.

The #MuslimWorldLeague, as the initiator and main organizer, is represented by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. #MohammedAlissa @MhmdAlissa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also supports the initiative as a key partner, represented by His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the OIC.

The conference gathers several prominent figures and influential institutions, including Grand Muftis of the Islamic world, members of scholarly bodies and councils, the Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League, and the International Islamic Fiqh Academy.

Senior officials from education and higher education sectors, along with representatives from the League of Islamic Universities' presidency and secretariat, are actively participating in the conference.

The conference aims to raise awareness among Muslim communities about the significance of girls' education, addressing this through various themes, joint programs, and supportive agreements.

With its awareness-raising objectives, the conference reaches out to Muslim communities worldwide, targeting individuals and both public and private institutions.

The conference will culminate in the issuance of the Islamabad Declaration on Girls' Education, which will be disseminated to international governmental and non-governmental organizations. A proposal will also be made to establish an international day dedicated to its central outcomes. #GirlsEducationMatters
