On behalf of the Muslim World League, Mr. Abdulwahab Alshehri, Assistant Secretary-General for Corporate Communication at the MWL, spoke at the organization’s discussion panel at the Global Refugee Forum in Geneva. The forum was attended by more than 1000 international figures, including state and government leaders, ministers, international organizations, and others.
In his speech, he noted that the Muslim World League is privileged and consistently dedicated to supporting refugees and displaced persons, both directly or through its close partnerships with all official and accredited centers and institutions. The MWL is particularly focused on enhancing the positive integration of these groups into host communities. The aim is to provide them with the essential personal and professional skills enabling them to enjoy decent lives and become effective members contributing to their communities.
Mr. Khaled Khalifa, Senior Adviser to the High Commissioner on Islamic Philanthropy and UNHCR Representative to the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, praised the Muslim World League's humanitarian commitment to assisting the displaced. This commendation comes in light of the great challenges faced by the forcibly displaced, which are now too overwhelming for a single organization to address alone. Therefore, we rely on our partners, such as the Muslim World League, and we appreciate their commitment to supporting our efforts in providing life-saving aid, as well as long-term development activities for refugees and internally displaced people.
