The Muslim World League appreciates the GCC Ministerial Council's welcoming of the contents of the conference on Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects.

The Muslim World League commends the Ministerial Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf for endorsing the international conference titled 'Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects.' Held under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, and organized by the MWL in Makkah, the conference occurred during the last holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the MWL, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Muslim World League, its global councils, and assemblies, for the ministerial council's recognition of the International Conference on Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects. He underscored that this acknowledgment reflects the GCC countries' commitment to enhancing the unity of the Ummah and consolidating its solidarity. Additionally, it encompasses efforts to eliminate any barriers to the Islamic unity of its nations, deepen their national allegiance, and tirelessly and notably combat sectarian divisiveness, its rhetoric, and its proponents.
Dr. Al-Issa reaffirmed the MWL's support for the members of the Ministerial Council in all their initiatives, decisions, and declarations during the 160th session, particularly concerning the dire situation in the Gaza Strip. May Allah grant them success in their noble endeavors for their people and the world at large, aligned with the regional security vision of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. This vision seeks to ensure the stability of the region, the prosperity of its countries and peoples, and the strengthening of international peace and security.
