Education is a fundamental right for Muslim women, just as it is for their male counterparts. The initiative #GirlsEducationMatters seeks to uphold this right through an unprecedented display of scholarly Islamic solidarity, supported by both public and private educational institutions, as well as international governmental and non-governmental organizations. 
Thus, the Muslim World League has advocated for this to be a universal Islamic message for all—individuals, public entities, and private institutions. This initiative includes practical projects implemented through various agreements that transform the conference's objectives into tangible outcomes, with the associated events being hosted in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
