Makkah:
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, has stated that members of the MWL’s councils, bodies, and assemblies have expressed their profound appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the patronage by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, of the Second Edition of the Global Conference for Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects. This year's conference, titled "Towards an Effective Islamic Coalition," will convene on the 6th and 7th of the blessed month of Ramadan in Makkah. It stems from the principles outlined in the Charter of Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects, issued following the inaugural edition of the conference, held under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah on 7–8 Ramadan 1445 AH.
Furthermore, Sheikh Al-Issa emphasized that the MWL’s members, across its global councils, bodies, and assemblies, affirmed that this generous patronage reflects the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in strengthening Islamic solidarity, particularly among scholars of the Islamic Ummah from various sects. This commitment aligns with the Sharia foundations outlined in the Charter on Building Bridges between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects.
Additionally, the senior scholars of the Islamic Ummah, including members of the MWL’s Supreme Council, its Fiqh Council, and the World Supreme Council for Mosques, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s primary and influential role in reaching the conscience of the Islamic Ummah, particularly its scholars. They praised Saudi Arabia’s Islamic and global influence, recognizing its widely respected and impactful voice among Muslim communities and the world at large.
On behalf of the scholars of the MWL, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa extended gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect them, for their generous patronage and warm hospitality in welcoming the muftis and scholars of the Islamic Ummah to this pivotal conference—an extension of the founding edition from which the historic charter emerged.
