His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Muzani, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly in Indonesia, stated at the inauguration of the second edition of the Global Conference: Building Bridges Between Sects:
-"The conference is very important for unifying the Ummah, bringing ideas closer together, and building bridges between schools of thought and sects. We appreciate the effective role of the MWL and its tireless efforts to unify the Ummah and bring together the viewpoints of scholars from various schools of thought and sects."
-"Indonesia is a country with a Muslim majority in addition to diverse religions and ethnicities. It has succeeded in preserving Indonesian unity after attaining its independence from colonialism and formulating the National Charter that accommodates and embraces diversity."
