The Muslim World League Welcomes OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ Decisions on Palestine and Syria

Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the resolutions adopted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers during its 20th special session, addressing the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.

In an official statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed the MWL’s deep appreciation and full support for the OIC’s decision on Palestine. He reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains the central issue of the Islamic Ummah, emphasizing the need for a just and lasting peace that guarantees the full rights of the Palestinian people.

Furthermore, His Excellency welcomed the decision to reinstate Syria’s membership in the OIC. He stressed the importance of this step, particularly at this critical time, to mobilize efforts in supporting the Syrian people and their government in overcoming challenges and fostering security and stability in the country.
