Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemns the recent attacks targeting camps of displaced persons near Al Fashir, in the Republic of Sudan, which have resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
In an official statement issued by its General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced these acts of violence as a flagrant violation of humanitarian principles and universally upheld religious values. He emphasized that such actions undermine the commitments of the Jeddah Declaration, particularly regarding the protection of civilians.
His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa expressed the MWL’s full solidarity with the Sudanese people during this difficult time. He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift and complete recovery for the injured.
