As part of the Museum's international expansion plan, and with the participation of His Excellency the Secretary-General of the MWL, as well as in the presence of members of the diplomatic corps and prominent figures, the President of Mauritania inaugurated the Museum of the Prophet’s Biography in Nouakchott.
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. MohammedAlissa, Secretary-General of the MWL, Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, and General Supervisor of the International Museums of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, stated in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Museum of the Prophet’s Biography in Nouakchott:
"We are delighted to inaugurate the finest museum dedicated to the most exemplary life—the Museum of the Prophet’s Biography—in Nouakchott, the capital of knowledge and thought. This noble endeavor originates from its headquarters in the City of Migration, blessed Tabah and pure Taybah, the resting place of the noble body, the city of the Prophet, peace be upon him, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."
