The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the announcement by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia responding to the request of H.E. Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, to convene a comprehensive conference in Riyadh to bring together all southern factions to discuss just solutions to the southern cause.
In a statement issued by the MWL, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, praised—on behalf of the MWL and its councils, bodies, and global institutions—the Kingdom’s response to the request of the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council. He affirmed that this step reflects the Kingdom’s consistent and sincere approach in supporting the Yemeni people in all its components, and its ongoing commitment to safeguarding peace and stability in the Republic of Yemen, particularly by addressing the just southern cause through inclusive dialogue among all parties.
