“An Islamic Consensus Guiding Toward the Straight Path”
As part of a comprehensive Islamic initiative, the Muslim World League (MWL), in partnership with the Center for Safeguarding Intellect, has presented—through the Encyclopedia of Islamic Intellectual Consensus—an educational and intellectual framework that revisits the history of Islamic solidarity with an enlightened and scholarly perspective. Rooted in shared values and foundational principles, this framework promotes balanced discourse that reinforces unity while respecting diversity, and addresses the underlying causes of conflict and division through a responsible, knowledge-based approach.
Launched on 8 March 2025 (corresponding to 8 Ramadan 1446 AH), the Encyclopedia represents a key outcome of the second edition of the “Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects” Conference. The conference was held under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (may Allah protect him), and witnessed wide participation from representatives of Islamic schools of thought across more than 90 countries.
This initiative reflects the Muslim World League’s ongoing efforts to deepen Sharia-based awareness and to strengthen bridges of effective dialogue and constructive cooperation among the diverse components of the Ummah. Through a comprehensive and unifying Islamic framework, it contributes to guiding collective Islamic action toward sound understanding, moderation, and the straight path.
