In a historic first for the Balkans, Sarajevo welcomed a diverse assembly of Bosnian Muslims, Serbs, and Croats to launch a groundbreaking conference. This event marks the first of its kind following the tragic war of extermination in Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to the collaboration between the Muslim World League (MWL) and the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, joined the Bosnian president in opening the regional conference. This conference aims to promote the values of coexistence and peace, especially in light of international geopolitical changes. It was attended by senior political figures, both parliamentary and governmental, religious leaders, and representatives of civil society from various regional backgrounds, encompassing political, ethnic, and religious diversity.
