His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with Dr. Denis Zvizdić, current Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the former Prime Minister, at the Parliament headquarters in the capital, Sarajevo. The meeting included co-chairs from the Bosnian diversity.
Dr. Al-Issa commended the leadership of Bosnia, for its efforts and aspiration for a better future for the Bosnian people. He highlighted the MWL’s keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation emanating from the Sarajevo Declaration as it aims to promote tolerance, coexistence, and peace. It also gives the opportunity for everyone from all regional diversity to speak, express his aspiration for the future of the country, and be heard from within Parliament.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that Sarajevo has always been and will remain a multicultural, multi-civilizational, and multi-religious city, noting the great success achieved by the Sarajevo Declaration and the strong repercussions it found in the Balkans and the European continent.
