Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the targeting of World Food Programme trucks in the Republic of Sudan, describing it as a grave violation of religious values and international law, at a time when the Sudanese people continue to endure the consequences of war.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, the MWL denounced the targeting of civilians, relief organizations, and humanitarian workers, stressing the urgent need to uphold international law and the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration on the protection of civilians and the safeguarding of humanitarian corridors.
The MWL reaffirmed its solidarity with Sudan and its people during these difficult circumstances, urging all parties to place the higher interests of their country above all else, to engage in serious and constructive dialogue, and to adhere to the outcomes of the Jeddah Talks as a path toward a comprehensive political solution that preserves Sudan’s unity and fulfills the aspirations of its people.
