The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the extremist and hostile statements made by a minister in the Israeli occupation government concerning the annexation of the West Bank and the threat against the Palestinian Authority. Such statements reflect the occupation government’s continued disregard and contempt for international legitimacy, while undermining all prospects for ending the war and achieving peace.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the Israeli occupation government’s persistent policy of disregarding the lives and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. His Excellency reaffirmed the justice of the Palestinian cause and the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to their land. He further called on the international community to take a sincere and resolute stand in fulfilling its legal and moral responsibilities to end this human tragedy endured by the Palestinian people, and to support their legitimate right to self-determination and the establishment of their state.
