The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the signing of an immediate ceasefire between the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, commended this positive step taken by both governments and their agreement to establish mechanisms that will consolidate lasting peace and stability through dialogue, sparing both nations and their peoples the dangers and tragedies of armed conflict. He further affirmed the MWL’s full support for this positive path, emphasizing that such efforts represent a vital step toward achieving lasting peace and stability between the two nations.
