The Muslim World League Condemns Israeli Occupation Authorities’ Approval of the “Israeli Sovereignty” Law over the West Bank

The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ preliminary approval of a law imposing what is termed “Israeli sovereignty” over the West Bank and one of its settlements.
In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the occupation authorities’ persistent policy of blatant contempt for international legitimacy, their flagrant violations of international law, and their deliberate undermining of all efforts aimed at achieving peace.
His Excellency reaffirmed the justice of the Palestinian cause and the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to their land, calling on the international community to take a sincere and serious stand in fulfilling its legal and moral responsibilities and to support the legitimate Palestinian right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.
