The Muslim World League (MWL) has extended its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and the injured, as well as to the entire Afghan people, following the earthquake that struck the northern region of the country.
In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed the MWL’s solidarity and sympathy with the families of the victims and the Afghan people in this painful tragedy. He affirmed the MWL’s commitment to mobilize all its resources to alleviate the suffering of those affected. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow mercy upon the deceased, admit them to Paradise, and grant a swift recovery to the injured.
