The Muslim World League Condemns the Waves of Barbaric Violence Against Civilians and Their Holy Sites in the Occupied Palestinian Territories
Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the waves of violence and criminal attacks perpetrated by settlers and police forces against civilians, their livelihoods, and their holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territories. The most recent of these attacks included the burning of a mosque in the Salfit Governorate by settlers and the assault by Israeli police on Christians attempting to enter a church in occupied Jerusalem.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced these criminal acts committed by settlers and the occupation government's police forces against civilians, property, and holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territories, with the support and protection of the occupation government.
His Eminence stressed the urgent need for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities and to take an urgent and serious stance to stop this criminal approach, activate firm mechanisms to deter it, and hold those responsible accountable.
