Statement from the Muslim World League:

Makkah

The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the decisions made at the Extraordinary Arab Summit, the "Palestine Summit," as outlined in the Cairo Statement.

In a statement from the General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, affirmed the MWL's, along with its global councils, bodies, and assemblies, full support for the decisions contained in the statement. These decisions aim to preserve the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, dignity, and independence, deter the Israeli occupation government from its brutal practices against them, and address the continued violations of international legitimacy resolutions related to their cause.

His Eminence emphasized the statement's total rejection of any form of displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, under any name, circumstance, justification, or claim, as well as any attempts to annex any part of the occupied Palestinian territory.

Additionally, he highlighted the statement's call to prioritize completing the ceasefire agreement's second and third phases, while supporting the efforts of the international coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as head of the Joint Arab-Islamic Committee, to implement the two-state solution.

Furthermore, His Excellency underscored the statement's emphasis on the necessity of implementing the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and condemned the Israeli attacks on the Syrian Arab Republic. May Allah, the Almighty, bless these efforts with success in protecting the Palestinian people, supporting their cause, and achieving comprehensive and just peace in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative.
