Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed its profound appreciation for the conclusive document issued by the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held at the ministerial level. The conference, sponsored and chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in partnership with the French Republic, convened at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab and Islamic nations, and all justice- and peace-loving peoples worldwide on the remarkable success of this historic conference. The event marked a significant turning point in advancing the implementation of relevant international resolutions concerning the Palestinian cause. Among its notable achievements, it recorded successive, historic declarations from several influential global nations expressing their intent to recognize the State of Palestine.
His Excellency added:
“Through its leadership in this complex matter—which requires exceptional efforts and capabilities—the Kingdom has effectively bolstered the standing of United Nations collective action, generated substantial global engagement toward a two-state solution, and renewed hope for the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue. Furthermore, the conference's conclusive document provides a clear roadmap for an integrated process, set within a defined timeframe, to achieve this just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, ensuring the Palestinian people their legitimate rights to live in dignity on their land.”
Dr. Al-Issa reiterated the MWL’s—and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic worlds’—deep appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause, particularly its tireless and pivotal efforts under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and with the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister—may Allah protect them. These efforts include the launch of the Global Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution by the Kingdom, its chairmanship of the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, and culminating in its sponsorship and leadership of this historic international conference, distinguished by an unprecedented high-level international presence.
