the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League begins his official visit to the Republic of France with a significant tour of the first-of-its-kind museum dedicated to the Gaza Strip.

•    The visit included discussions on developments in issues relevant to the mission of the Muslim World League, along with clarification of the Sharia perspective on these matters.
•    It also addressed widely debated intellectual and religious concepts and misconceptions, as well as the ethics of artificial intelligence.

Paris:
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, engaged in discussions on key issues related to the mission of the MWL. These included clarifying the Sharia perspective on contemporary matters and addressing commonly debated intellectual and religious concepts and misconceptions.

This came as part of his visit, during which he responded to invitations from leading global institutions for thought and dialogue. One of the highlights was a seminar hosted by the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri) in Paris, featuring His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa. The event was attended by the Institute’s Secretary-General along with a distinguished group of thought leaders and representatives from various research and academic institutions.

The seminar explored a range of contemporary topics, including religious terminology that is frequently used, widely debated, and often misunderstood.
In addition, the daily publication L'Opinion hosted a roundtable at its headquarters in Paris with His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa. The event brought together members of prominent research institutes, political figures, and opinion leaders.

The discussion covered issues aligned with the mission of the MWL, clarified the Sharia perspective, and delved into intellectual and religious concepts as well as the ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

Dr. Al-Issa concluded his visit with a notable tour organized by the Arab World Institute in Paris of a unique museum dedicated to the Gaza Strip. The exhibit documents Gaza’s rich civilizational heritage through photographs and films of its historic landmarks—including mosques, churches, and archaeological sites—that were once registered with UNESCO and have since been destroyed.
At the Arab World Institute, Dr. Al-Issa was received by His Excellency Mr. Jack Lang, President of the Institute. Their meeting covered topics related to the Institute’s role in fostering mutual understanding and cultural cooperation. The dialogue highlighted the need to counter concepts, slogans, and narratives that promote civilizational conflict—a goal that aligns closely with the MWL’s initiatives to uphold the Islamic call for peace.

Dr. Al-Issa emphasized that the Muslim World League launched its Building Bridges between East and West initiative at the United Nations headquarters in New York, in the presence of global leaders. He reiterated that, throughout their long civilizational history, Muslims have continuously engaged in dialogue and cultural exchange with peoples from both East and West.
